Mrs. Clara A. Joy & Family

This collection of photographs is interesting in that Mrs. Joy, her son Fred Joy and her daughter Alice Joy all obviously are close to Lucian and Adeline. It's not clear the connection between the two families except that it doesn't seem to be through being related. The Joys lived in Winchester, MA, and in 1906 Mrs. Clara Joy - a widow - was 81 years old; Fred Joy, a lawyer, was 47 years old; and Alice Joy was 38. These are photographs that are in the early pages of the album, and so in the section that Adeline added the most captions.

Not sure about all three of the people in the car. Lucian definitely is in the front, and Alice Joy is the woman in the back. It's unclear who the man with the mustache might be, particularly since Alice never married. It is doubtful that it is Fred.

Both of these photographs are taken in front of the Joy house .
