When Adeline and Lucian went to the 1000 Islands area, they visited the bay between Beaconsfield and Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada. While Adeline doesn't explain the visit, the different photographs include enough identification clues to suggest they stayed at the Grove Pointe Inn and the Beaconsfield Yacht Club

The Beaconsfield Yacht Club

First organized as a privately owned club in 1810, the BYC was expanded from a single club house to a fashionable resort and boating club in 1891 and called the Grove Pointe Inn.

The Saint-Joachim de Pointe-Claire church is on the peninsula across the bay from the Beaconsfield Yacht Club. The original church was built in 1713; the current church was built in 1885 after three fires destroyed earlier ones.
